Aiken Center Hosts Craft Masters and April Art Attractions
Downtown Aiken showcased the Craft Masters show and April Art Attractions at the Aiken Center for the Arts. Sixteen southern artists offered jewelry, baskets, furniture, handmade paper, and paintings. Visitors could watch Delores Newsome weave sweetgrass and explore studio galleries with a $5 entry pin for the art walk. Proceeds aid artists with disabilities via Tri Development Center of Aiken County.

Motorcycle Safety Course at ATC Langley
A beginner rider motorcycle safety course will be held at Aiken Technical College May 23 24 and 25 with motorcycles and helmets provided. Instructors are certified by the Motorcycle Safety Foundation and hours run 6 9 p m Friday and 8 a m 4 p m Saturday Sunday. Tuition is 60 call 888 45RIDER for info and 593 9231 to register. The course will repeat in July and August.
