Palmer Opens Masters Anniversary Ceremony At Augusta
Arnold Palmer began the Masters anniversary events with a ceremonial tee shot at Augusta National. The four time champion noted his 1960 Masters and Open wins, while media coverage expanded with CBS televising the shot live. Palmer joked about a cell phone and recalled his Grand Slam pursuit, as his wife’s ankle infection kept her away.
