Mitchell Appeals To Higher Court

Greenville Democrat Theo Mitchell has filed an appeal with the 4th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals. The move aims to challenge a lower court ruling over a feared precedent that could allow legislators to remove colleagues without cause. Woman Found Dead In Car In North Augusta

A 26 year old black woman Trellis M Simpkins of 658 Lorraine Drive North Augusta was found dead in a car near the Welcome Center on the South Carolina side of the Savannah River around 10 pm The State Law Enforcement Division is assisting the Aiken County Sheriff's Office in the investigation with Lt Tim Hoffman providing details.
