USC Upstate recognized 650 South Carolina high school juniors as 2006 Upstate Junior Scholars for strong academics. Nominations require a 3.25 GPA and 1100 SAT. scholars gain early admission consideration and scholarships. An awards reception was held March 18 at the Spartanburg campus.
