Aiken area blotter reports multiple shopliftings and DUIs
The Aiken Department of Public Safety lists several incidents. Shoplifting suspects include a 63 year old Olaf woman, a 23 year old Aiken man, a 31 year old Jackson woman, and a 20 year old Aiken man. DUI arrests involve a 51 year old Aiken woman and a 23 year old Columbia man. A vehicle was reported stolen on Corporate Parkway. Burglaries, vehicle break-ins, vandalism and credit card fraud were reported across Laurens Street, Richland Avenue, Woodbine Road and nearby Beech Island Warrenville Graniteville and Salley locations.

New York Woman Detained After Hotel Disturbance in Aiken
Marcia Lank Gordon 53 of Saugerties NY was detained at the Hilton Garden Inn on East Gate Drive after creating a disturbance, using profanity, and failing to comply with officers. She refused to leave, locked her hotel room, claimed to be naked, and was placed in the Aiken County detention center.

Cops: Drunk driver with kids in backseat faces charges
North Augusta man Anthony Wayne Myer 35 of Audubon Circle is charged with DUI DUI with child endangerment failure to comply and marijuana possession after officers stopped a black Acura on Rutland Drive for traffic violations. Three juveniles were in the backseat as Myer resisted and threatened officers at the scene and at the detention center.
