Hospital Funds Release To Be Discussed By Board
The Aiken County Board of Commissioners will discuss releasing 540,000 for the fourth quarter cash flow payment to the Aiken County Hospital at an 8 p.m. meeting in Room 107 at the University of South Carolina Aiken campus. The Indigent Care and Health and Welfare Committee will publicize its report on funds appropriated last July. Proposals include establishing procedures for indigent care funding with no more lump sums. The panel will also consider hiring four relief clerks for the Clerk of Court’s office at 5,500. A landfill report and ordinance on landfill rates will be considered for final passage, and a request from the Alston Wilkes Society for funds is on the agenda.

Library To Reopen Tomorrow In Banksia
