A Jackson man, Davante Sheppard, 18, was charged by Aiken County deputies with two counts of third degree criminal sexual conduct with a minor and one count of first degree criminal sexual conduct with a minor in a case involving multiple juvenile victims. A Jackson woman reported the alleged assaults on June 11, 2015, and said the victims woke her to say Sheppard touched them inappropriately.
Tessa Key 35 was charged with a hit and run involving death after striking 32 year old Michael A. Clark on Howlandville Road on March 26. Clark died April 2 at Georgia Regents University Shock Trauma. Key faces up to 25 years and is to appear in court May 6.

Names include Leroy Taylor Jr Skylar Kennedy Nellie Bennington Shannon Warneke Melissa Atkinson John Brantley Davante Sheppard Cesar Ramirez Jimenez John Sharpe Anita Martin with charges spanning contempt of family court violations theft liquor driving offenses and sex related offenses. Some detainees may have posted bond and been released.
Aiken County deputies search for two black men suspected of armed robbery at a gas station on Jefferson Davis Highway in Beech Island. They entered with a pistol, demanded cash, and fled toward a nearby hotel. No injuries were reported. security footage was collected.
The Aiken area blotter notes a 74 year old Wagener man alleging assault at Nobhill Circle. Two women were arrested in a stolen vehicle on Jefferson Davis Highway. Other reports include assaults on Buddy Lane and Saluda Street, a Graniteville trespass arrest, a robbery and break in on Silver Bluff Road, a Cherry Street burglary, and several drug and theft actions including a marijuana possession arrest on Richland Avenue and a shoplifting arrest on Richland Avenue.
