Tunnel Blast Kills Seven In Caldecott Tunnel Blaze
Seven people died in a Caldecott tunnel crash in Oakland California when a Alameda County Transit bus struck a stalled car and a gasoline tanker, igniting a massive fire that melted vehicles and shut the tunnel. Fire crews recovered seven bodies and cleared other tubes after the blaze was controlled about two and a half hours after the 12 20 a m crash.
