Hit and run suspect faces upgraded charge after death

Tessa Key, 35, was arrested again and charged with hit and run involving death after the 32 year old victim Michael A. Clark died from injuries sustained when Key struck him on Howlandville Road March 26. Clark, from Hephzibah Georgia, died April 2 at Georgia Regents University Shock Trauma. Key remains jailed in Aiken County.

Vigil for man killed in Aiken motorcycle wreck

Friends and family plan a candlelight vigil for Reginald Walker 35 who died in a motorcycle crash near Park Avenue in Aiken. Coroner Tim Carlton says Walker died of multiple body trauma in what is ruled an accident with a pending toxicology. The event is at 7:30 p.m. on Hayne Avenue 400 block led by Zuke Boyz motorcycle club.

Suspect Sought in Stolen 1991 GMC Jimmy Case

North Augusta police seek public help to identify a black male wearing a green hoodie and carrying a military style bag who stole a gray 1991 GMC Jimmy from the Save Stop on Atomic and Old Edgefield roads at 9 am. The vehicle with SC tag 9539 GS is reportedly seen in the Belvedere area. Call 803-279-2121 with information.

Mother turns self in on child cruelty charges

An Aiken woman surrendered to the Aiken Department of Public Safety after a warrant for child cruelty. Officers described welts on the boy and a belt beating at a Fabian Drive home during a Feb. 16 incident. The child was placed into his grandfather’s custody.

Beating of Threats and Disorderly Conduct Reported

A Jackson woman told police her ex-boyfriend threatened to kill her at Bees Way Court. An Aiken woman was arrested for disorderly conduct after deputies found her intoxicated on Coker Drive. A 65-year-old Clearwater man reported a burglary on Westminster Way. Deputies issued an arrest warrant for a Wagener man after he attempted to run over an Aiken man.

Stolen License Plate And Bicycles Reported In Aiken

An Aiken woman on Idle Drive reported a stolen license plate from her car parked on New Bridge Road. A break in at an Aiken County government building on Reynolds Pond Road yielded a seized radio and two fans. A 24-year-old man on Greengate Circle reported a vehicle break in. A 63-year-old woman on Camellia Street said four bicycles were stolen.
