Firefighters Win Battle Of The Bac Weight Loss Contest
Detroit police and firefighters competed in an eight week weight loss contest sponsored by Weight Watchers at the Children’s Hospital of Michigan. Firefighters averaged 16 pounds per person while police averaged 15. Total losses reached 3 117 pounds with 539 by firefighters and 2 578 by police. Police Sgt. Vincent Finn shed 46 pounds to 258 but collected only 560 in pledges.
