In Columbia SC Senior Trooper J D McGaha was suspended after a 130 mph citation in a 70 mph zone and a suspended license from Dec 3 to Feb 20 for unpaid vehicle taxes. He drove a patrol car while suspended and faced a $355 fine and six points if convicted. Public Safety officials learned of the suspension via a FOIA request.
Anderson County deputies say 40-year-old Christopher Patrick Daniels of Belton is charged with three counts of filing false insurance claims for Blue Ridge Baptist Church. He filed false vandalism reports and claimed over 20000 dollars in damages, on top of a March 9 arrest for second degree arson and a breach of trust charge for about 5000 dollars stolen from the church. He remains jailed in Anderson County.
Christina Lynn Player, 35, released from Horry County jail, was arrested and charged with engaging a child under 18 for sexual performance after taking explicit pictures of two 14 and 15 year olds at her home and posting them on MySpace. Bail set at 50000 dollars with no contact order.
