Barnwell 19 District appoints new superintendent Teresa Pope
Teresa Pope, former Redcliffe Elementary principal in Jackson, becomes superintendent of Barnwell 19 School District, which comprises Blackville Hilda High and Blackville Hilda Middle schools plus Macedonia Elementary. She will take duties in July after a January application and weekly district meetings. Pope aims to build teams and backs principals amid mixed school performance. District 19 operates separately from other Barnwell districts and Pope cites strong support from peers and Ed leaders.
