Pacers idle early surge tops Augusta State in doubleheader
USC Aiken built an 8 0 third inning lead on RBI singles from Scott and Amy Sobieras, then finished the rout in the fourth with an RBI triple by Susan Williamson and a sac fly by Jayme Hodges. Scott went 2 for 2 with four RBIs in game two as USC Aiken blanked Augusta State 10 0. In game one the teams combined for 13 runs and 23 hits, despite top conference ERA leaders Angi Brush and Devon Kendall on the mound. Kendall entered 10 1 0 record with a 1 08 ERA and was coming off her fifth shutout. Augusta State battled back early but could not hold as Khristy Broughton cleared the bases with a double to put the Jaguars ahead for good.
