The American Red Cross will host the Rachel Hodges Leadership Institute May 19 to 24 at Francis Marion University with more than 300 volunteers and staff from seven states. SRR and URS donate 5000 to underwrite attendance for Aiken County Chapter staff and volunteers. The six day program offers tracks in executive leadership development and disaster services with core training in disaster readiness CEO response fundraising and public affairs. The gift supports frontline caregivers in natural disasters.

Registration opens at the Aiken Community Playhouse for Act It Out Camp July 30 to August 2 with separate sessions for rising grades. The week ends with a student play and family performances.
