Officials seek missing 68 year old woman in Aiken

The Aiken County Sheriff's Office asks for help locating Mattie Coleman a 68 year old Black woman five feet tall and 130 pounds last seen Wednesday around 8 a.m. at her Union Church Lane home in Aiken. She has no license or vehicle and her animals were unfed. Call (800) 922-9709 or Crime Stoppers at (888) CRIME-SC with tips for a reward of 50 to 1000 dollars.

Aiken Police Blotter Reports Theft and Assault Incidents

Police report financial identity theft involving an Orangeburg woman whose name and SSN were used to open a wireless account with an Aiken address. A 91 year old woman on Smallridge Street returned home to a burglary with money and jewelry stolen and forced entry observed. A 12 year old boy was charged with assault after throwing a bleach and ammonia mixture at a man claiming self defense.

Aiken Historic Tour Adds Masters Week Sessions

The Aiken Historic Tour expands for Masters Week with added Wednesday and Friday 10 a.m. departures. Tours depart from the Aiken Visitors Center and Train Museum, 406 Park Ave. S.E., with reservations via H Odell Weeks Activities Center or visitors center contacts. Tickets are 15 dollars on Saturdays, 12 dollars for the midweek tours.
