Aiken County Museum Moves to Banksia Vault
Joyce Ross announces moving day for the Aiken County Historical Museum as staff and volunteers relocate six weeks of packing to the Banksia vault in the county warehouse. The old schoolhouse was placed on the grounds and the renovation is complete with carpeting and a new Newberry Street entrance nearing completion. Exhibits include 12 textile industry prints from the Gregg Foundation.

County Democrats split votes at Aiken meeting
Aiken County Democrats convened Monday night and split their ballots among Hart Mondale Jackson and Uncommitted for the presidential race. The uncommitted must declare at the April 14 state convention in Columbia. The gathering elected officers, rejected school board fiscal autonomy and teacher collective bargaining, and endorsed Governor Riley's education sales tax.
