Crowds filled the tabernacle for the Barr Evangelistic Campaign opening led by Mrs. Carrie B. Beaver. Prof Balmond organized a 100-voice choir and six musicians as Rev. C. B. Smith delivered a prayer session and Mrs. Barr outlined her life before delivering a stirring address on springs that run dry and God’s Eternal Love.

Sunday marked the start of the Union Evangelistic Campaign led by Mrs. Daisy Douglas Barr at the Community Building. The morning sermon on Enlarging our Borders drew a large audience with a full choir, piano by Miss Mason, and an evening service that overflowed the Tabernacle as Mrs. Barr was formally introduced by Mrs. Carrie Beaver.

Barr Evangelistic Campaign Opens With Large, Hopeful Attendance
The opening service of the Barr Evangelistic Campaign was held in ideal conditions with many attendees at the Tabernacle. Mrs. Barr praised the good turnout while Mr. Bal mond led the chorus in Revive Us Again and How Firm a Foundation. The service included a reading of Psalm 91 and a prayer for guidance by Rev. St. John Halstead of the Advance Christian Church.

Commercial Club First Guests at Revival Service
Mrs. Barr opened with 1 Chronicles 4 10 and preached enlarging our borders to grow faith and experience for God to use. Obituary of Henry Yager from Oldham to Boone County
Henry Franklin Yager born October 11 1840 in Oldham County Kentucky died September 6 1917 in Boone County Indiana age 76 years 11 months 5 days. He moved with his parents to Morgan County Indiana at age eight and married Sarah Knoy January 11 1866. They had three children William Wallace Arthur H and Elzora K Weldon who survive. He moved to Boone County 34 years ago and wife predeceased him 27 years ago. He remarried Elena R Knoy September 11 1893 and had Monna J and Lula R Brown who survive. Also survived by brother John Yager Martinsville and sisters Mrs Gather Wilhite Martinsville and Mrs Laura Bain California. He joined Mt Zion M E Church and later Advance Christian Church in Boone County. He suffered cancer for about 18 months. Funeral held Sunday at 2:30 p.m. at the church with Rev Halstead officiating. Burial Union Cemetery. Funeral directors Hunt & Wall. A note mentions Lelan Wall buying Ross Caldwell's cleaning and pressing business and a Bancroft family reunion planned.
