A Saturday night blaze at Nisley and Thompson’s Restaurant nearly destroyed the northwest business section. A gasoline stove malfunction sparked a hot fire that heated a gas tank and threatened an explosion. Lora McClaine and other local businessmen used extinguishers to save the building, valued at about 500 dollars in stock and furniture. There were no injuries.
