Mr and Mrs James Sk Wall celebrate their forty third wedding anniversary at home in Jackson Township. Married October 10, 1872 at the Wall home by Rev Ab Carner the ceremony. They raised six children with sixteen grandchildren and many in-laws and grandchildren closely connected to the family church.
A pie supper is planned at Cclladay School House on Friday night October 22. The Departmental team of the local school beat New Ross 17 to 8 after traveling to New Ross on Friday afternoon. Whitesville did not report. Caldwell accompanied the squad as the sole supporter. The cold weather gave way to a spirited outdoor game, with the Advance team delivering favorable updates at 5:20.
The revival service led by Brother Kelley began well with gratifying attendance on Sunday. Miss Frantz has chaired the song service and will be joined by her brother today to assist in singing. Mr and Mrs Frantz praised as pleasing singers. Evening services start at 7 oclock daily except Sunday when earlier. James Bowman and wife and Mary Shinn dined with Lawson Brown family Sunday. Mrs J W Waters returned from visit with daughters. Mrs Ed Hamilton visited a sick cousin in Crawfordsville Saturday. Mr and Mrs Bert Epperson dined with Mr and Mrs Win Caldwell Sunday.

Clarence Pipes was in Thorn town Friday. Mrs Ettie Emmert of James town visited with Wm Walker and family Tuesday. Sherman Garner has the whooping cough. Linden Beck has a new storm buggy. Mrs Sarah Higgson of Bronson Kansas is visiting relatives in this vicinity. John Stansell is suffering from paralysis. Bert Ferguson and wife spent last Thursday and Friday with Felix Nance near Mechanicsburg. James Higgs and wife visited with Elisha Higgs and wife Sunday. Mr and Mrs George Threlkeld, Alvs Egbert Cogle Otto Threikeld and family, William Pittenger and family, Mr and Mrs Frank Bowman, Grant Davis and John Cogle visited Harvey Apple and family near New Maysville Sunday.
Mrs Henry Zimmerman of Max is reported quite poorly. Mr Lee of Indianapolis was in our vicinity Thursday on business. Mrs Ollie Denny is in Indianapolis for cancer treatment and is progressing as expected. Mr and Mrs Frank Scott of Semestown spent Wednesday here. W G Hedge sold Hedge Valley farm and bought 59 acres west of Pikes Crossing. Little Mary Imbier is staying with Mrs Pete Starwalt of Advance. Roy Kibbey visited Indianapolis to see Mrs Kibbey at a hospital. she is not much improved. Mrs Allie Willet and daughter Effie of Kentucky visited Emery Proffitt and family.
A public auction will begin at 10 o clock A M Tuesday October 26 1915 at the farm southeast of Shannonvale two miles northwest of Advance along the Crawfordsville and Lebanon Traction line stop 126. The sale includes horses cattle hogs sheep grain implements and other items with terms of over five dollars credit 12 months or 5 percent discount for cash.
Rev Speer and his family returned from Ohio on Tuesday.
