H C Epperson says the bank is expected to sell 23000 dollars worth of lands for Liberty Loan Bonds but strong demand may ease disposal. The bank will be closed tomorrow for Discovery Day and a house to house canvass is planned in the north half of Jackson and Jefferson townships to promote the bonds.
Found-Ladies coat. Ralph Cunningham moves Reid Budd today to Danville. Austin Beaver leaves for Ft. Riley. Birth announcement: a girl born to Mr. and Mrs. Frank Butler on Oct. 7. Ora Nicely sold the Brown restaurant to Ralph Cunningham. Cunningham buys half in Emmert’s bakery. Cunningham & Emmert to operate, with O. E. Brown and Ernest Kernote aiding.
Eight dozen tickets remain to sell for the Lyceum Course to break even. Tickets are selling from new buyers and orders come by telephone. The Maude Stevens Co. performs Monday night at 7 50 with a 2 30 matinee. Friday features Rev Parkin of Lebanon.
