Advance Christian Church announces Sunday School last Sunday was 203 in attendance, collection $500, 60 Bibles. Willing Workers meet first Saturday afternoon in union each month. Sunday School held every Sunday at 10 o clock. Special effort to attend twice next Sunday. Preaching service every second and fourth Sunday each month both morning and evening.
Notice states an election will be held at the Town Building Advance Boone County Indiana on Tuesday November 4 1913 to elect one Town Clerk one Town Treasurer one Town Marshal and three Trustees. Polls open as prescribed by law. John Whitsett Town Marshal of Advance Indiana.
Revival meetings at Advance Christian Church ended Sunday with a sermon on The Centacy of Progress. Fifteen were added to the church. the entire membership experienced renewed spiritual awakening. Brother Brown led plain gospel teaching and strong sermons. Brother Snyder directed singing. A fellowship service closed the event with new members, officers, and longtime members forming a circle and receiving right hand of fellowship.
The young ladies class of the Christian church was entertained at the home of their teacher Mrs Roy Melson last Friday evening. Ten members attended a two course luncheon and a social hour.
Genoa Thompson seeks divorce from Nathan L. Thompson after a 1909 marriage. She alleges frequent curses and obscene language, gambling losses, ill treatment, and association with women of ill fame. One child, Hugh R Thompson, aged three, is cited. she requests custody, $10 monthly support, $1,000 alimony, and legal costs. Attorneys: Adney & Hortaday.
