All Day Church Meeting Planned at Local Church
Sunday school attendance was 134 with offerings of 4.74 dollars. The Old Union group will assist in the program for an all day meeting starting at 10 am with Sunday school. The pastor speaks at 11 on The Supremacy of the Church with special music. A church basement dinner follows noon and a 2 pm program includes choir and orchestra. Evening service at 7 pm. Jamestown Fall Festival a Decided Success
Jamestown fall festival and home coming, closed Saturday night, drew large three day attendance. Exhibits included canned goods, farm products, poultry and relics with about 1206 articles shown. Cash prizes of 150 dollars awarded. entertainment featured the Jamestown band and home talent. a masquerade closed the event. Harry L. Smith suffered a fall during a stunt, injuring a sprained ankle and forcing cancellation of his remaining acts. The festival was organized by local business men and farmers, chaired by Dr. R B McAlpin, with A L Houk and Harold F Hiller as secretary treasurer, and may become an annual affair.
