Mary L. Pittenger died Friday at 9 30 after a brief illness. Born August 10 1851 in Jamestown she was 61 years 8 months and 11 days old. She married Henry M Pittenger December 7 1869 and had six children Emma J Schamahorn Litton William F Carrie A Myers Samuel M and Claude E with one daughter Elzora K who died in 1898. She joined Jamestown Christian Church and spent her life in Jamestown and Advance attending to family and friends. Her death ends a long life of guardianship and faith with loved ones left to meet the summons ahead.

Survived by two children Purdine Lucas and Hannabh Dean, eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Funeral at Dover Christian church conducted by Rev Homer Dale with interment at Dover.
In Boone Circuit Court January Term 1913 the estate of Charles N. Brown deceased, administrator E Hale Brown has filed final settlement. The April 10 1913 examination date requires heirs creditors and legatees to appear and show cause why the account should not be approved. Heirs must prove heirship.
