John T. Jackson died in Advance on June 27 1906 at age 30 3 months and 1 day after a three year illness. He married Nora Wells in 1894 and joined the Shiloh Christian church in 1898 under Rev Samuel Swisher. He was a member of Odd Fellows and Red Men. Survived by wife daughter Clara mother three sisters Mollie Mangus Emma McClaine Jennie Jackson brother Jesse and many relatives. Interment at Old Union cemetery following funeral services in Shiloh Christian church led by Rev C A Hoot.

Funeral for 16 year old Omer Bowen at Pleasant View
The funeral for Omer Bowen of Jefferson township was held Sunday at Pleasant View with Rev. A L Carney officiating. He died Friday morning after a six month battle with consumption. He leaves two brothers and three sisters and was a member of the Pleasant View Christian church. This is the fifth family death in four years.

He was a member of Nipmuck Tribe No 141 Improved Order of Red Men and Baptist church. funeral led by Rev Lynn Bates with services at Gossett Chapel Mount Tabor and burial under the order care.

Sunday School Progress At Jamestown Meeting
Attendance last Sunday was 82 with a 94 cent collection. A Sunday School Convention is planned for Jamestown Sunday afternoon. A Friday night business meeting drew good attendance with plans for a larger turnout and nine new class captains were appointed. Diplomas will be given to scholars with 80 percent attendance from July 1 to January 1, aiming for 100 attendees. Dr Tillotson praised after his sermon and State S S Superintendent Mr Johnson will speak next Sunday.
