Well Known Young Man Dies at Ft Harrison
Floyd Schyler Bowman son of Oliver W. and Mary A. Bowman born March 22 1898 died February 13 1919 at Ft Harrison after influenza developed into double pneumonia aged 20 years 10 months 9 days. He enlisted October 15 1918 served in Motor Convoys 9 B later transferred to Co C and contracted illness while in Warsaw Indiana then moved to Ft Harrison where he died after fifteen weeks of illness. He leaves his father mother one brother Earl and a sister Mrs Roy Ferrer with many relatives and friends. Funeral was held at Providence Church burial at Pisah.
