Local items note a band concert at Memorial Park Sunday afternoon with assistance from Glen Waters and others. Community members attend picnics and visit relatives across Whitestown Winona Lake Cicero Jamestown Montazuma and Crawfordsville. A birth and a handkerchief shower are also mentioned.
Mr and Mrs Joe Sandlin move into Elmer Wells property in Crawfordsville while John Wells and family return to the farm. Numerous visits unfold with relatives in Whitestown Indianapolis and Burlington as well as notes of illness and travel including Don Weldon visiting his ailing father in North Judson.
Frances Elizabeth Welden McClaine born July 8 1836 near Burlington Kentucky married Oct 16 1855 to Quiver McClaine of Johnson County Indiana. They emigrated to Boone County Indiana in 1866 and helped Osceola grow. She died August 15 1923 at age 87 after a long churchly life, survived by two sons one daughter eleven grandchildren and several great grandchildren.

Ross Caldwell and family left on Monday for Kokomo to establish residence. Evelyn McCollum returns to the Nelson home for an extended stay of two weeks. Miss Margare McClaine of near Greenwood visits Sam Caplinger and relatives. Jesse Washburn and family of Lima Ohio, and Mrs. Alice McCabe of Crawfordsville, spend Friday night with Roy McCabe and family.
Caleb Bratton aged 68 died last night at 7 20 at his home 523 West Powell Lebanon following eight months illness from Bright's disease. He was born to Caleb and Anna Bratton and married Emmatole on July 5 1876 at Morton. Surviving are seven children including Roseoe and Cori Bratton of Lekansas William Batten of Montgomery County and two daughters. one son W J Bratton died in 1921. Three brothers John D and Andrew H Bratton and three sisters Susannah Ten Elizabeth Van Huss and Merry Ann Styles also survive. He was a member of the Presbyterian church. Funeral Tuesday at 2 pm from 523 West Powell with Rev. Frank R. Bilis. interment Oak Hill.
