Tragic Electrocution Claims Life of Local Lineman
Martin Summers 22 a Lebanon resident and Western Union lineman was killed instantly by a live 2500 volt line at the first bridge south of Zionsville. He was transferring a loaded wire when a dead wire touched his shoulder and a brace completed the circuit. Summers had worked for Western Union since last October and is survived by his father two brothers and three sisters. Funeral plans were not announced.

Talk of motor cars on the C. I. line revival plan
Officials on the Central Indiana railroad studied the idea of motor driven cars to resume passenger service abandoned about two years ago. Four motor cars would cost nearly 100000 dollars, but doubts remain about fare viability and ongoing costs. Towns along the line would welcome service, yet no decision is expected soon amid auto and bus competition.

Advance Woman Suffers Stroke in Advance Area
Mrs. H. P. Stephens, living northeast of Advance, suffered a stroke of paralysis Monday and is not expected to live. The Stephens family is well known in Boone County. In Lebonon Pendleton, Kings Daughters class of East Christian church held a Memorial Park picnic Friday with 31 members and 10 visitors attending. Total attendance was 89 with three long tables of food. An afternoon program and business session followed, and all attendees enjoyed the day.
