Expenditures and Tax Levis for Jackson Township 1920

The Trustee of Jackson Township Boone County proposes annual expenditures and tax levies for 1920 to be discussed at the Advisory Board meeting at Citizens State Bank Jamestown Indiana on September 2 1919. It lists township expenditures 2040 local tuition 13600 special school 23800 road 6800 library 680 poor 1400 and other items none with total expenditures 48320 and total tax 71 cents per hundred dollars. Taxable property totals 6800000 with 234 polls the figures reflect mortgage exemption and rail and telegraph property not specified. Signed James A Bowman Trustee August 1 1919.

Private W Disalvo of St. Louis Missouri earned a medal for conspicuous gallantry near Remon ville France on November 1 1918. He charged a machine gun nest alone killing one gunner and forcing surrender of others enabling his group to advance before dying of wounds. His widow resides at 3505 Arlington avenue St Louis Mo.
