The township Sunday School convention met at the M. E. church in Jamestown last Sunday afternoon with eight schools represented except Ward and Old Union. Chas Young spoke on Teacher Training. Mrs John T Jones could not attend due to a bereavement. Prof Frank McGeath of Montgomery Co U S Association gave a talk on The Home Its Duty and the Sabbath School urging parents to say Lots go to Sunday School rather than You go to Sunday School.

He married Louisa Brown in 1858 and lived in Putnam County until 1888 then Boone County near Advance. Father of ten children, surviving wife and two daughters. Born to John Crow of Scotland and a mother from Germany, he served in the Mexican War and endured a three month capture by Indians during a 1856 wagon train trip to Galveston.
