A Real Rat Story Invention Uses Car Exhaust On Farm

Attendance at Sunday school was 157 with an offering near five dollars and a well received morning sermon. The official board met with near full attendance and planned items to present to the church. Queen Esthers Band met for Mrs. Nan Kincaid's birthday with nineteen members and refreshments. Tea from this place attended the joint convention at Mellett with several local attendees. Miss Snow Dale Weds John Elston Conner in Local Methodist Church
Miss Snow Dale and John Elston Conner marry this morning at 11 in Rev Brigg s study of the Methodist church with only Beulah Richey and Dee Sumpter as witnesses. The bride, youngest Dale daughter, wore a black canton crepe dress and hat. she is a Lebanon High School alumna and Thita Club member. Conner, son of the late Charles Conner of near Advance, is a Advance High School graduate employed at Adler and Davis Clothing. They leave at 12:30 for a short wedding trip and will reside at 720 West Main after May 1. The couple enjoys wide friend circles and well wishes accompany their marriage.

Tom Black of Thorntown Steers Cart Through Hard Work
Although almost sightless since childhood, Thomas Jefferson Black of Thorntown earns a living using a cart. Born April 15 1858 in Boone county, he moved with his family and later settled in Thorntown. He routinely hauls 800 pounds, with a 1500 pound cement load his largest, and has saved 400 dollars while owning a 700 dollar home. His cataract caused vision loss.
