Otto Threlkeld entertained at dinner with Everet Threlkeld Lena Petterson Susan Garner and Charlie Garner family. Albert Garner attended Aunt Cinda Osborne funeral at Old Union Monday.
The Christian church announces a week long revival starting next Sunday morning through Easter with 7 30 PM services each evening. The church orchestra and choir will provide music, sermons to be evangelistic, and members urged to attend all services. A daily bell reminder at noon asks for earnest prayer and council and prayer sessions before the 7 30 PM services. The period is part of a Go to Church campaign and invites both members and nonmembers to attend and feel at home.
The report outlines a campaign through Easter based on last month’s averages for Sunday School and resident church membership for attendance. It notes Sunday April 6 1924 services with Professor F Hensey of Indianapolis College of Missions as guest, plans for morning and evening services, and a pre Easter week of evangelistic services April 13 20 including a 6 30 am Easter prayer service.

Mrs. Lucinda Osborn, 91, a Boone county resident for 79 years, died Friday night at 9:40 after a three week illness. Born in Virginia May 23, 1832, she married Samuel Richardson in 1852, then James Osborn in 1903, both in Boone county. Survived by two daughters, a son and numerous grandchildren, with rites at Old Union church conducted by Revs Homer Dale and Wyatt. Burial followed in Old Union.

Radio stations in Washington and New York broadcast a notice at the request of White House officials that Tige the president’s pettomcat has been missing since last week. A navy building guard later appeared with the cat.
The Women’s Missionary Society plans a program led by Lucy Whitecotton with hostess Clara Jones. Jubilee theme Remembering the Past we Build for the Future features hymns 265 263 248 and a Bible lesson by Claude Ross. Missionary topics include China’s Compelling Needs Georgia McDaniel and Cora Nelson. Hidden Answers by Society and a clothing drive for the Orphans Home precede a benediction.
Advance reports busy winter for business as Rehn buys out partner Leff Walker to run the firm solo. Rohn and Walker have built broad trade, with plans for further extensive operations and continued activity in the season.
The Junior Mission Band will meet at the church on April 8 at 7 p m. The program includes a feature on Our First Missionaries to Japan with songs Love Lifted Me and Cherry Blossoms. Mary Jane Yager will give the scripture lesson from Matthew 9 35 38 and Laura Graves will lead the Mission Study. George McDaniel will locate Mission Stations in Japan, James Wyatt will name one missionary for each station, Ruth Tompson will present It Isn t the Church It s You, Nora Mc Cabe will cover The Feast of the Dead, and Wanda Plunkett will share the Story of Agiyama San.
