A meeting at the Exchange King William Street Adelaide on Monday evening September 30 appointed a provisional committee of members to revise rules and carry out measures. Rambler the celebrated thorough bred Race Horse Rambler

Rambler will stand for the season at Wakefield Street near the Military Barracks with Fasc at the Black Bull Stables each Saturday. Describes Rambler as a rich dark bay, nearly sixteen hands, with strong bone and temper, bred by John Field in Van Diemen's Land from Old Wanderer and Alice Grey. 1845 performances in Launceston noted, including wins in the town Plate and All Age Stakes, a match win for £500 a side, and a later sale to Thomas Archer for 5000 guineas. He will stand at Normen s Willaston Hotel adjoining Gawler Town for the season with races every fortnight at Lyndoch Valley Mondays and other venues including Tanunda Kapunda Oak Lodge Home Little Porn and Mr B Greig s Stables Black Bull Adelaide on specified days. Mrs Greig restricts references to his stock and the book will travel with the horse. interested parties should sign at enrollment.

Sampson a superior Waggon stallion stands this season at Hindmarsh Bridge Hotel and Fagle Tavern Hindley street Adelaide every Saturday afternoon and Tuesday at Mr Bradys Dry Creek Crows Keys New Inn. He is dark bay with black points from Lincoln mare and Laval by De Wilmore. Sampson won first prize at Campbell Town in 1844 as a three year old and was sold to Mr Collett of New River for 240 guineas. He is quiet and highly regarded by judges and has sired foals successfully. Paddocks available at 2 64 per week with good care. Terms 225 each plus. J. Dix. Payments due on fat day of 1 January 1831 July 27x 1830.
