Cantab imported from England to New South Wales by Lt. Kater in 1839 on the Euphrates at 18 months old. The horse passed through several hands including William Rutledge and Scott of Glendun before being purchased by someone named MPR. Cantab’s style and breeding are noted as racinglike with many progeny proving handy and strong.
