Artemus Aristotle parades with a giant 160 foot pine flagpole in Berks, storms up the tree to hoist a star spangled banner, loses his retreat and must be retrieved after a dangerous, bark-ridden descent. Aunt Hannah scolds, Arte vows never to cut another flagstaff.
A comic tale shows a doctor noting leeches cured a husband after being boiled and ingested by mistake. The wife claims the leeches helped, though one half was swallowed, and promises external use next time, hinting at unsafe medical practice.
A man from Teha aie travels to Tead Bluff seeking an ebony partner for laundry or life. He reveals he has only four dollars. The Ethiope responds by asking for capital and denies the match, noting another suitor with six dollars and a cooking stove is needed.
A massive sunfish weighing twelve hundred pounds and five feet across was hauled ashore at Tenby on the Welsh coast after a strenuous struggle. The fish spun in the water like a wheel, making capture difficult before being secured with sails and sturdy hooks.

It covers returns rejected for illegality or informality, the board of return judges decisions, and the role of Democratic lawyers and prothonotary Bushey. Also notes hospital votes, officers oath issues, and a memorandum listing specific contested returns.
