Reveries in England and Stratford Visit Notes
An American traveler describes Shakespeare's Stratford and Oxford surroundings. He notes the dullness of locals toward notable sites, visits Shakspeare's house and the Grammar School, and laments English indifference while praising Marlborough's palace, the Avon, and regional vistas. He contrasts English habits with American roaming and laments war talk.
