Fredericksburg correspondent reports Gen. Jackson friends offended by reference to the U.S. Bank charter not expiring until March 3 1836. Calhoun pressed on the subject calls it very unfortunate. North reports Bank stock pressure as fifteen percent decline fueling speculation and gambling as manipulators seek to depress prices then allow a rapid rebound.
