Young farmer near East Berlin dies by self inflicted wound
Harry Deardorff a young farmer eight miles from East Berlin attempted death by own action at midnight after a separation from his wife. He shot himself in the right temple in her presence. He is expected to recover. A neighbor, Knaub, sent for doctors Yeagy and Kunkle. the bullet could not be removed. The Deardorffs have no children. Deardorff is a son of Lewis Deardorff and worked on the family farm.

Camelhog pig escapes after 22 days without water

General Pougherty Hurt in Fall at Guard Building
