Ira Stoner 32, longtime Baltimore businessman, died by self inflicted gunshot at a Wilkesbarre boarding house. The Wilkesbarre police found him alone after a friend left. motive unclear, with despondency and business troubles cited. Survived by his father Cicero W. Stoner and stepmother, wife and two children in Baltimore, and brother Dr Harvey Stoner. Body to be interred in East Berlin beside family plot.

Dittenhafer Captured After Long Straban Chase
Ambrose Dittenhafer, pursued through Straban township by Detective Charles Wilson, Constable Morrison, Deputy Kappes, and a large posse, surrendered at eleven after a dense fog chase lasting five to six hours.
