County's Oldest Resident Dies in Littlestown
Mrs. Cassandra Barker, Adams County's oldest citizen, died at 96 at her Littlestown home after celebrating a birthday. Born in 183? near Seven Valleys, she recalled Lafayette's 1825 visit and served as a memory of early York County history. Survived by two sons, four daughters, 18 grandchildren, and 16 great grandchildren. Funeral Friday at 11 a.m. with services at the house and interment in Mt Carmel cemetery, Littlestown.

Buck Bonanza at Bendersville Gun Club
The Bendersville Gun Club on Thursday bagged three deer and wounded a fourth. The first two bucks weighed 185 and 150 pounds with eight prongs. John Schaeffer, a club member, killed a 240 pound buck with twelve prongs, likely the largest in the area for years.

Wagon Passes Over Leg Injuring Boy Near East Berlin
The five year old son of Howard Laugh man of near East Berlin was injured when a load of coal on a wagon rolled a peanut on the ground. He stepped off to retrieve it and a heavily loaded wagon passed over his leg between the knee and hip.
