Mrs Eliza J Harper Dies in Nevada Iowa at 75
Mrs Eliza J Harper died at her Nevada Iowa home on October 89 aged 75. A Fayetteville native, she married Robert M Harper in Fayetteville. they moved West and he died in 1881. She was sister to Miss Saide Horner of this place, now the family’s only living member. Nevada papers paid a high tribute to her memory.

On a Wednesday evening at Trinity Lutheran Church Reading Miss Mary S Roland daughter of Mr and Mrs A L Roland of Reading married Paul F Martin of Lincoln Avenue. Rev Dr E T Horn officiated. Miss Roland is well known in Gettysburg. Mr Martin is a teller and bill clerk at Citizens Trust Company. They will reside in Senator Martins house on Broadway after a wedding trip.

The Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture will set up five model orchards in Adams County to demonstrate up to date fruit growing, pest control, and modern orchard management. Cooperating farmers may contact Prof. H A Surface for details and will receive expert guidance, materials, and assistance with spraying and care. Visitors will be invited to inspect demonstrations at least three times yearly.

The Philadelphia Academy of Medicine awarded its first honorary fellowship to Dr. Rufus Weaver, professor of regional and applied anatomy at Hahnemann Medical College.
