Mrs Minnie Wampler, wife of the wandering Harry, tells The Adams County News she intends to remarry after obtaining a divorce. She plans to return to New York, then buy a home in this state, with money and friends to support her. She forgives but will not take him back, asserting marriage only if right conditions arise and he pays his way back from Maryland. A separate report details a runaway on Carlisle Street injuring two men and killing a horse, as a limousine collided with a train after the horse bolted, throwing the Hart cousins and damaging the buggy. both men suffered head injuries but are expected to recover.
Two over two week old horned owls in the care of Squire Hammers draw visitors from Gettysburg. Described as already as large as a full grown chicken, they are regarded as charming pets and local curiosities.
The sixth annual convention of the Adams County Christian Endeavor Union will meet at St. James Lutheran Church on May 4 and 5. Highlights include an opening service with Dr. J A Clitz, welcome by E P Miller, responses by Rev. Charles Dalzell, and an address by Rev. Edward Haines Kistler. Wednesday features a sunrise service, devotional, business session, and multiple talks on Home Life and union methods led by Rev. Kistler and A J Shartle. A 1454 service of praise precedes further talks by Rev. D Thuser and Rev. J J Hill, with Miss Edna Plank assisting.
Miss Emily B Horner and Homer N Young were married at two o clock Wednesday at the bride’s home on Chambersburg street in a small ceremony attended by friends. Rev D W Woods officiated and Prof Harold Lewars played the wedding march. The bride wore a white duchesse lace gown. After luncheon the couple left for Pittsburg over the Reading to reside. Mrs Youngs going away gown was brown rajah. Mrs Horner was the bride’s mother. Mr Young is a Pittsburg attorney and Gettysburg College graduate.

Dr C William Beales is making extensive improvements to his Carlisle Street property recently purchased from Mrs W N Miller. Exterior will be painted white. Yard will be filled and a concrete pavement laid seven feet wide with a two foot grass strip and a concrete curb.
John Walter, a department store employee, fell from a door on the second floor to the alley below around seven on Tuesday evening. He sustained a dislocated shoulder and possibly internal injuries. Dr. H. M. Hartman attended him and he was taken to his home.
