Aspers in the upper county is installing a modern gravity water system to supply domestic use and fire protection. Water will come from three springs on the Harris Cook farm near Bendersville Station, with a reservoir under construction. Work is led by H. C. Gulden, H. A. Naylor and H. S. Rex. completion expected within sixty days. A new company forms to install the project with C. Blair as president, D. C. Asper secretary, Elmer H. Miller treasurer, capital $7000, and most residents planning to connect. Fire department to follow.

W M Wreck Derailed Freight Near Seven Stars
An east bound Western Maryland freight derailed six loaded cars near Seven Stars on a Wednesday afternoon. An extra Hanover train carried passengers from the derailed train to continue their journey arriving about 1 hour 40 minutes late. Passengers on the westbound evening train were transferred. No injuries reported.

Joseph Six a 76 year old Warrensburg resident and Sarah Addlesperger 65 of Taneytown obtained a marriage license on Wednesday. Six, once a Frederick County constable, spent years in the West amassing wealth. After his wife’s death he reconnected with his youth sweetheart, now widowed, and engagement followed. He hinted the wedding will occur at the bride’s Taneytown home.

Large Alco freight truck tours Gettysburg on paint run
An oversized Alco motor truck carrying three tons of Philadelphia paint to Pittsburgh passed Gettysburg on its way Tuesday night. Each Deer Cost to State Spurs Hunters License Bill
The State spends 35 dollars per deer killed to fund wildlife efforts while advocates push a one dollar hunting license.
