The McSherrystown fire committee collected subscriptions at local barber shops for a new motor truck and must complete payments by March 28. The truck will mirror Hanover Fire Company No 1 and elevate the town’s apparatus. Funeral guests in Emmitsburg attended Mrs. Slagle’s service. Polly Kunkle of Shrewsbury may join St. Mary’s team. A St Mary’s baseball meeting, presided by Harry Niederer, discussed season prospects and securing Polly Kunkle. report planned for March 15.
