Women Hurt In Ugly Accident Near Bonneauville
Mrs. Jacob A. Appler and her daughter Miss Elsie Appler were thrown from a buggy in Mt. Pleasant township near the Sponseller home. They were unconscious briefly, treated, and by evening were recovering at home on East High street. The horse spooked the buggy striking a post, destroying the new vehicle, with the women sustained head and shoulder injuries and facial cuts.

Jacob Hollinger of near East Berlin was severely injured when a four horse wagon ran away on Monday morning. While sprinting to halt the team he tripped and the wagon passed over him, breaking four ribs and causing internal injuries. Dr Lau treated him. Hollinger is recovering. The horses were later caught by Oliver Myers.
