Arnold Raffensperger 13, son of H. Raffensperger, fell from a cherry tree this morning. He sustained a broken arm near the wrist and a broken nose. Dr. Merriman attended to him.
Organized Lodge Formed in Arendtaville
A new lodge of the Patriotic Order Sons of America was organized here Wednesday night with the State Superintendent and State Organizer present. The inaugural membership stood at sixty.
Soldier charged with assault on Miss Beulah Miller
A U S cavalry trumpeter, Kitchen alias Fred Thompson of Troop C, 15th U.S. Cavalry, is jailed in Adams County awaiting August term trial for alleged assault on Beulah Miller near the Railroad woods west of town. A preliminary hearing found enough to commit him. alibi claims and timing disputes highlighted testimony.

The Supreme Court refused an appeal in Spangler vs Markley. Samuel G. Spangler won $640 damages in an August Adams County trial after his horse panicked at William D. Mark Ley's automobile. The Superior Court affirmed. no new trial granted and the defendant paid the amount this week.
