Gettysburg College Celebrates Seventy-Eighth Commencement
Gettysburg College marked its seventy eighth commencement with a baccalaureate sermon by President Hefelbower on The Truly Triumphant Life. The day featured the College Glee Club, violin solos, and an alumni reception. The following day fifty graduates received diplomas in Brua Memorial Chapel as honors were announced, including dozens of BA and BS degrees and several prizes. The week concluded with an alumni collation, speeches, and a baseball game won by the college 9 to 3.

Dr Karl J Grimm, who resigned as professor of modern languages at Gettysburg College, has reconsidered and will remain at Gettysburg instead of moving to Ursinus College. The faculty and many friends urged him to stay, and admirers are delighted with the outcome.

Miss Nina Thorn Dies in Harrisburg After Illness
