A Conewago township resident, Wherley Brown of the old Rahn farm near McSherrystown, recovered $53 in cash from under a snowball bush, silver coins, a watch, and a revolver found at the scene. Collision on Western Maryland injures three trainmen
A 5:50 PM collision on the Western Maryland near Pinesburg injures three trainmen and leaves about 30 laborers in a coach narrowly escaping death. The west bound work train led by Conductor Yingling and Engineman J. T. Ogden struck an extra east bound freight idling on the main track at the Potomac Valley Lime and Stone Co quarry. The work train pulled engine No. 77 and cars including a coach, flat car, and caboose bound for Charlton where a large switch is being installed. Most laborers in the coach were foreigners who survived because the train slowed.
