Colt Causes Trouble In Big Flat Forester Injury
James Stine of the state forestry department at Big Flat was severely injured Monday when the colt he rode reared after being startled by utensils on the saddle. Ranger Me Elwee oversaw the cutting crew at Flat Rock. The horse threw Stine, then stepped on his head and an axe cut a deep gash. He was taken home and is slowly recovering.
