Roller Skater Hurt In City Accident
Herbert Nicholas a 15 year old York resident lies in serious condition after being struck Tuesday noon by a car driven by H Hershey of Blue Gables McSherrystown. He had earlier narrowly avoided Mrs Kauffman’s electric coupe and was hit when Hershey tried to veer onto the pavement to miss the other car. He suffered a broken right collar bone a fractured left thigh and other grave injuries and was sent to the hospital by ambulance. Hershey remained at police headquarters giving his account corroborated by witnesses who said he was driving slowly and could not avoid the boy.
