Hanover Man Is Hurt At Gettysburg Field
Charles E. Cole of Hanover slipped from a rock near Devil's Den on the Gettysburg Battlefield Monday. He broke a bone in his left leg and sprained his ankle with painful bruises, crawled to a trolley car, rode to Gettysburg, and returned home where his physician treated him. He is doing as well as could be expected.

Swarthmore Doctor Granted Bail in Fatal Car Crash
Dr. Krebs of Swarthmore, previously of Littlestown, admitted to bail after his automobile struck 12 year old Thomas Cusack on Cardington road near Fernwood Philadelphia. He carried the boy to Presbyterian Hospital where he died later. He remains under bail in Delaware County authorities.

House Burns at Pen Mar Destroys Carbaugh Home
A residence owned by GC L Carbaugh near Pen Mar burned to the ground on Wednesday after an upstairs lamp exploded when the family awakened. The Carbaughs saved much furniture but carried no insurance, and one family member was taken in. The total loss fell on the Carbaugh household with no coverage.

Tragedy Near Glen Rock Claims Farmer’s Life
Frederick Wenrich a 71 year old retired farmer from Shrewsbury was killed stepping in front of an express train at Glen Rock. He walked from the southbound to the northbound track missing a passing train and was decapitated with a leg severed and the body mangled beyond recognition. The accident at about 12 15 pm left a widow and one son Henry Wenrich. The body was sent to an undertaker for burial preparations.
